Simon Geddes I have worked in the building industry for over 20 years and have returned to The House Company having worked for them for 4 years previously as a Home Consultant.  My time in between was spent working as a Project Manager with a well known commercial and industrial company.  I missed the personally touch that you get when dealing with a client building their own home and the rewards for all when working through this process with them.  In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy being on the water - fishing and sailing - or with my family especially the enjoyment of supporting them in their sporting pursuits.

Ellen McArthur  When I started my job as a Home Consultant for The House Company, I wanted a change from my career of ten years as an Architectural Draughtsperson.  I wanted to have more contact with people. To work with them to help them achieve their dream home was my desire. From my draughting experience I understood the processes involved in building and I knew that this process was not easy for people who had never built a home before to understand. It really helps to have someone you can ask every step of the way.  I like to help people with this understanding.
My partner is an architect and my brother Hamish Mc Arthur is the Managing Director of The House Company Rodney. I grew up in, and am presently living in Leigh after travelling and living elsewhere in New Zealand.
I love to improve houses that are non-functioning through renovation and I love to design and build new and exciting homes. I get a lot of joy when something that we have created as a team, designer, builders, home consultant and clients comes together and this is something we can be proud of.

Suanne Jackson has always been ­interested in colour and décor, so after completing a two-year interior design course at te tuhi – the mark in Pakuranga, in 2002, Suanne followed her passion and undertook a complete career change to become a colour consultant.
She was then employed by a housing company as their in house Colour Consultant, and was encouraged to join their sales team nine months later.
After six years with this company assisting clients with both residential and rural builds, Suanne has recently joined The House Company, as a Sales Consultant.
Suanne believes in honesty and integrity and she often works with clients prior to their land purchase, ensuring that the client’s budget allows them to create their dream home, without cost overruns, as everything is carefully considered in the crucial early stages. Many clients become friends as a result.
Keeping up with current design trends and colours is important to Suanne, and she has been a Design Guild Member since 2002. The Guild arrange visits for its members to private houses of interest, talks and seminars throughout the year, exhibitions and the like, so ideas are kept current and refreshed.
